  • The Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile Barge, LSAM 21, the 7th barge of the 11 x ACTCM Barge Project, has been delivered and was built by M/s Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd.
  • India has launched its fourth nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN), codenamed S4*, at the Ship Building Center (SBC) in Visakhapatnam.

September 2024

◾ Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commissioned India’s second nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN), “INS Arighat,” with the code name S3.

◾ Ukraine successfully tested its first ballistic missile, ‘Hrim-2’.

◾ The Indian Navy launched the seventh ‘Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile Barge’ (ACTCM), ‘LSAM21 (Yard 131)’, built by Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd.

◾ A successful launch of the Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile ‘Agni-4’ was conducted from Chandipur, Odisha.

◾ The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Navy successfully flight-tested an indigenously built Vertical Launch Short Range Surface-to-Air Missile (VL-SR SAM), developed by Bharat Dynamics Ltd.

August 2024

🔘 INS Arighat is the name of India’s second indigenously built nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN), which is set to be commissioned soon.
